Pablo Rivera
University of the Ozarks
Class of 2010
Pablo Rivera is very open about the fact that he probably would not have had an opportunity to go to college without the Walton International Scholarship Program. Rivera, who recently walked the graduation stage at University of the Ozarks, has been accepted into the Walmart Executive Management Training Program in Central America. There, he is exploring the various areas of the company in hopes of soon stepping into a managerial role.
"I've had so many experiences that have made me grow as a person and given me different perspectives. I never imagined all of this." – Pablo Rivera
Fernando Rivera
John Brown University
Class of 2003
Planning Coordinator, RASA Refinery
From the day they arrive on campus, Walton International Scholarship Program students are taught to give back and create opportunities for others. Fernando Rivera, a 2003 graduate of John Brown University, has taken those lessons to heart well beyond his responsibilities as planning coordinator at RASA Refinery in El Salvador. To this day, he continues to play an instrumental role on the selection committee responsible for identifying the annual pool of potential WISP recipients from his home country.
